Gingerbread

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
Steps
- Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg.
- Add molasses and water.
- Combine dry: flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and ground allspice.
- Chill.
- Roll 1/8" thick.
- Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes.
